Backburner Autodesk Download Problems

We have updated to 3ds max 2012, which so far looks impressive. However, we are having major problems with sending a render to our render machine via backburner. Previously, we have installed the software and rendered via backburner with no problem.

Autodesk Backburner Download

Not sure what the problem is, I have tried various methods to render via backburner without any luck, any help appreciated. The first problem seems to be with server. When setting the general settings using the defaults,(which we usually do) with Manager Name or IP address set to localhost, server cannot find the manager and we get the following error message: -ERR: Error receiving information: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (0x2747).When I set the Manager Name or IP address to Automatic search it finds the manager, however it lists errors about obsolete plugins (see Backburner01.jpg)When we send a render thru, we get the messages as shown in image Backburner02.jpg. In regards to:“The procedure entry point?LanCodePage@nrSPathImp@@UAE?BHXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library libDLnrapi30.dll”I received the same error which appears to be caused by installing BB2012 then rolling back to a previous version. Specifically the BB2012 install that is found on the Max2012 disk as libDLnrapi30.dll only resides in the 'C:Program FilesAutodesk3ds Max 20XX' foldersI would recommend backing up before attempting the following.I was able to get manager running by:Uninstalling BBRemoving the 'C:Program Files (x86)AutodeskBackburner' folderRemoving the 'C:Users usernameAppDataLocalbackburner' folderRemove all references to 'backburner' from the registryReinstall your preferred version of BBI installed BB2008.1.3 from the Maya 2010 disk successfully.Hope this helps!Leon.

Problems

I have a serious problem with backburner 2016. I suspend a job that is running in backburner, for example, to restart the computer which is running backburner manager and after that I want to activate that job again and carry on with the rest of the frames that still need to be rendered. After pressing activate all frames in the 'task summary' tab are gone and the project turns from yellow to white, not to green as it should, as if it were a new just submitted job.Any Ideas on this problem? Thanks in advance!-Jan. Hello Jan,As I just noted in (referenced above by Jens Diemer), this is a recurrence of an earlier defect which was fixed in 3ds Max 2015, but it seems to be back. Our developers are aware of this issue and we have logged a new defect (MAXX-24290) in our database for it.Right now, the current workaround is to delete and re-submit your jobs after rebooting (with 'Skip Existing Images' checked in the Render Setup menu.)Alternatively, some users have reported success by.Please note that I'm monitoring this issue, and if I have any further information I'll let everyone know. Thank you for your patience on this.Best regards,Jon A.
