It was advertised correctly as a Classic Player 60's sonic blue. Here's another one which looks pretty much the same.Sorry, but that doesn't mean it's a '62 Strat, which it isn't.and unfortunately not 'quite valuable', but I think the guitars go for more than $800 new.

They are real fine strats, though, designed by a Custom Shop master builder.The Classic Player strats are MIM. I can't tell you the date.I know they still make the CP 60's in sonic blue. I also have a friend with a 2006 sonic blue CP 60's, but I can't say whether they made it before that or not.The little dime-size hole ('stash hole' below the neck pickup is correct for the CP.so is the FSR in the neck pocket (Factory Special Run??), as is the CNC routing hole in the pocket.
